Bosal research and development centers are located in Pretoria at Plant 1 for exhaust in Koedoespoort and Plant 4 for towbars in Watloo. These facilities are equipped with state of the art resources to verify that products comply with government legislation, OEM specifications and SABS standards.
A scientific approach is followed in the design and development of exhaust systems and towbars, using the latest advanced simulation software, test equipment and highly-qualified personnel. Also, the exhaust development facility is unique in that it is the only one in South Africa. Bosal’s involvement in the OEM market and assistance from our international research and development center in Belgium Lummen B.I. has a significant spin-off for aftermarket products in South Africa.
